Called transnational corporation to that large company dedicated to the production of goods or services, which has subsidiaries in countries other than the original (parent) and thus able to expand its influence and economic importance worldwide, controlling not only much of the economy and international trade, but also the technology and development, gaining great importance in the globalized capitalist world. With 10% of the capital of the parent entity is put in a foreign subsidiary and the company is considered multinational or transnational.
Multinational or transnational companies become true factors and economic power, accumulating capital, bringing progress to areas where they are installed, but often ruin local industries and trades, and while contributing sources of employment, are generally precarious.
